10 April 2009 is a day to remember. Its the first time rusty got to know the sea...My dad made a decision for us to go sentosa (maybe its because i had been talking about bringing rusty to the beach for the past few weeks). We woke up at 5.30 in the morning! My mum was complaining how crazy we were. haha. As we wanted to avoid the crowd. Waking up early once in a while is not a bad thing after all.
The weather was mighty clear despite the rain in the wee hours of the morning. Me and rusty headed straight to the beach to have some fun. He was so happy, jumping around me when we were running. I did not let go off the leash as i was not confident he would come when called.
I stepped into the water and rusty followed although he was wary. He licked the water, haha his first feel of salty water. He did not dare to advance any further when the water was about his knee length. Poor dog, first time in 9 years to get to know what is salty water.
I carried him into slightly deeper water and he "swam" or should i say struggled as water was splashing everywhere...... When his paw touch ground he quickly headed to the sand where water couldn't reach him. Lol.
When rusty saw other dogs, he began to pull his leash, as usual...... I got to know a person who brought her dog to the beach once a week! Her dogs could even plunge his whole head into the water to fish for an object! So smart. Very well trained dogs she had. Hope i can get rusty to be more sociable and obedient when he is outside and stop being such a frog in the well. Lol
We then washed up and headed for lunch. Dad said maybe we could head to the henderson wave since we were nearby, i agreed straight away.
And off we go. Rusty was walking nicely beside me, i presumed he was tired already. We walk to and fro the henderson wave and we wanted to walk the forest walk, but the flooring was uncomfortable for rusty so we headed to the terrace gardens. A flight of stairs greeted us. Rusty rushed up the first few steps but slowed down after that. The old dog is feeling tired. Hahaaa.
Something happened as i was walking down a road which ruined part of the perfect day i had. An ignorant old man said that the dog should be muzzled!! Oh, please lah this is the kind of people who don't know anything yet want to comment and show off to his children. Do read up before you go around teaching your kids the wrong stuff. Fool!!! Enough of this kind of ignorant fool. Back to rusty. We decided to head home as we were tired. Rusty plong down to sleep the moment we were all sitted. He snoozed all the way till we got home!! A big difference from the morning ride as he was fidgeting throughout the time when we were heading to sentosa.
Bathed him and off to his bed he went.. Till now, which one whole day has past he is still lying on his bed. Only moving when i was changing gps cage,his pee pee time, makan time and when a sales person approached our door.. Guess old rusty is having the aches! hahaha
